Default Selling Destroyer Cores or salvaging them?

Trying to figure out which one's worth more. Destroyer cores go for about 300g per piece. However if you salvage it, you get about 7.5 Granite slabs on average. 10 Granite slabs go for 500g at the Material Trader.

So what do you guys think? =/

I think this is something you just have to choose for yourself really. I mean you will need 2 destroyer cores to make 500g, and sell 2 destroyer cores to make 600g.

Not really a problem. I've got about 182 destroyer cores at the moment.

I say sell them, but that might just be because I had a heck of a time buying them last week. But I think Nekodesu broke down the numbers quite nicely.

182 * 7.5 = 1365 granite

1360 sold to trader at 500g/10 = 68K

or

182 sold at 300g ea = 54.6k

...assuming trader price stays the same and doesn't drop while you are selling 136 sets of 10 granite and assuming you don't find someone desperate enough to pay 400 or 500g per core for the gloves.

but you also have to factor in the salvage kits... not alot more money... but still factors in there.. but yes salvaging them will earn more money if price doesn't drop...

You also have to factor in that people aren't buying for 500g, it's what the trader is selling for. Right now people are buying for some where around 9-11k per stack (~440)

Also, I believe he forgot to subtract salvaging costs.

sooooo subtract 2912 if using expert, 3640 is using a superior, or 782 if using standard kits from the grand total.

Lol, OK I'll admit that I forgot the cost of the salvaging pack.

But I did not forget the variance in price. The original poster said it was going for 500g - so that was what I used. I included a note that the figures were only correct if the price was, in fact, 500g.

You buy 10 Granite Slabs for 500g, but the trader only gives you 400g if you sell them to him. That's 40g a piece and your 7.5 slabs would get you 300g. (296g if take into account the 4g cost of the salvage.)

You'd be better off to sell them to other players for 440-450g.
